Art at Orvis: An Exhibition of Sporting Art

Denver CO. – In support of a keen interest in the arts among outdoor enthusiasts in Denver, Orvis Cherry Creek will sponsor an exhibition of sporting art by Bob White – a nationally known sporting artist, who was recently inducted into the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame for his work. The event will be held on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th from 10AM to 6PM at the Orvis Cherry Creek Store.

Bob will be painting throughout the weekend and available to discuss his work and answer questions. Original oil paintings, watercolors and pencil renderings, as well as limited edition prints, and stationary will be on display and available for purchase. A free pencil remarque and shipping is included with the purchase of any limited edition print.

Plan to attend one or more of the presentations in which Bob will discuss and share his experiences from Alaska, Argentina, and other fly fishing destinations around the world. A different presentation will be held each day. Call Orvis Cherry Creek for a list of presentations and times.

Mike Pletsch, the manager of the Orvis Cherry Creek Store, will host the exhibition of Bob White’s sporting art over the 4th of July weekend because, as he says, “It’s an important art weekend for our community and many of our clients have an intense interest in artwork that reflects their outdoor passions. Bob’s artistic talents, national recognition, and life experiences as a guide from Alaska to Argentina make him the perfect choice.”

For additional details, call the Orvis Cherry Creek Store and ask for Mike. The store is located at 2701 East 1st Avenue, directly across the street from the Cherry Creek Mall. The phone number is (303) 355-4554.
