SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – July 15, 2009 – FlyFishing Retailer (FFR) today announced the launch of its revamped Web site. The site includes resources for the entire fly fishing industry, expanded exhibitor resources and enhanced show planning features for those attending the 2009 FlyFishing Retailer World Trade Expo at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, September 10-12.

“The FlyFishing Retailer Web site has new tools that we think will prove to be invaluable to members of the industry, whether they’re planning their trip to the FlyFishing Retailer show or wanting to stay in touch with the fast-changing marketplace,” said Kenji Haroutunian, FlyFishing Retailer show director. “Features will be added each week leading up to the September show, so visitors should regularly check FlyFishingRetailer.com to make sure they’re using the site to its full potential.”

With its revamped design, the FlyFishing Retailer site functionality is now more user-friendly and its design more contemporary. The new design highlights the Web site’s most used features including the product showcase, newly enhanced exhibitor directory and floorplan, the events schedule and industry news.

Now available directly from the FFR home page, the searchable Product Showcase features many of the innovative products exhibitors will be debuting at this year’s show.

Exhibitors, using the enhanced exhibitor listing, are now able to customize company descriptions and contact information along with upload product photos, video and show specials. This feature also creates an internal communication network that keeps seller-buyer messages secure and targeted within the show framework.

The interactive floor map is more intuitive and seamlessly interfaces with the list of exhibitors, making it easier and more efficient for attendees to plan their time at the show.

In addition, the revamped FlyFishingRetailer.com has become a central location for industry updates by integrating The Hatch blog and feeds of industry news and industry press releases into its homepage.

New planning features on the FFR Web site include:

  • A richer and more dynamic exhibitor directory
  • Enhanced exhibitor profiles with capability to include more company information, product information, images and video
  • Easier-to-use interactive floorplan map
  • A mobile phone optimized version of the Web site to allow easy access to the exhibitor directory and schedule from the show floor

FFR has also expanded its online attendee resources to include a:

  • Password-protected area for attendees only
  • Detailed show planner to schedule and keep track of appointments, seminars and other events
  • Match-making system to help buyers find exhibitors offering products of interest to them

Online exhibitor registration for Fly Fishing Retailer 2009 is officially open with today’s launch of the revamped FlyFishingRetailer.com. To register, please go to the FlyFishing Retailer registration page.
