MidCurrent.com com is reporting the delay of the much hyped GLoomis NRX rod line.
G.Loomis announced in June that their full line of NRX fly rods would go on sale tonight at 8PM at selected fly shops, but we learned this morning that the company found a design flaw in some of the reel seats. Briefly, certain reel models caused the screw-on reel seat cap to get stuck in place. According to G.Loomis spokesman John Mazurkiewicz, the design flaw affects rods sizes 3 through 9, but not the salwater or spey rods, and tonight’s launch parties will happen as scheduled. G.Loomis will have the redesigned reel seats in place on production rods “in about a month.”
