In May 2011, Cheeky Fly Fishing, a Boston-based fly reel manufacturer, is launching a new line of fly fishing reels.  Machined in the U.S.A. and incorporating innovative proprietary technology, the reels are designed specifically for progressive fly fishermen pushing the limits of the sport.

About Cheeky Fly Fishing: Established in 2009, Cheeky Fly Fishing is an independent fly fishing equipment and apparel manufacturing company based in Boston, MA.  The Company is committed to developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing the highest quality fly reels on the market.  Designed to emphasize style rather than tradition, Cheeky Fly Fishing’s products are manufactured for progressive fly fishermen looking to push the limits of the sport.

About Cheeky Fly Reels:    Progressive fly fishermen are chasing bigger, faster, more obscure species around the world and in their backyards alike. Cheeky Fly Fishing has identified and brought to market exactly what progressive fly fishermen demand: fly reels for every situation, from bluegill to shark, that are incredibly strong, lightweight and durable, feature a super large arbor design, hold a ton of line and are maintenance free.  To ensure the highest quality craftsmanship, all Cheeky Fly Reels are made in the U.S.A.

Fully machined from 6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminum and titanium and anodized to endure the gnarliest elements fly fishermen face, Cheeky Fly Reels are built to last a lifetime – guaranteed.  The reels incorporate proprietary features such as Cheeky Fly Fishing’s KarbonEVO sealed synthetic disc drag system, TiLock Mating technology, B2 Channel and MAX arbor.

Reel Launch: After nearly two years of development, prototyping and testing, Cheeky Fly Fishing will launch the first two reels in its five reel series this spring and summer.  Available in May 2011, the Mojo 425 is an all-around saltwater reel and the ideal weapon for big freshwater excursions.  The Ambush 375 is  for the arsenal of freshwater fly fishermen and will be available in the summer of 2011.
