BOZEMAN, Montana (for immediate release) – Simms Fishing Products, the sole fishing wader manufacturer in the United States, will be relocating its corporate headquarters, warehouses and production facility in 2012.
Simms will remain in Bozeman, moving 15 miles west from its current location located just north of downtown Bozeman.
Simms has secured a 60,000 square foot building in Bozeman’s Four Corners, not far from the Gallatin River. The building was the site of Four Corners Hardware. Simms has partnered with the award-winning architectural firm of JLF & Associates to remodel the building and has established a target move-in date of November 2012.
“Of utmost importance is the fact our new location will allow us to house the entire organization in one building,” said Simms president K.C. Walsh. “Currently, we occupy 3½ buildings. At the new site, we expand by 15,000 square feet and gain the ability to be more efficient and effective.”
Walsh said the new location will deftly reflect Simms’ position as the leading manufacturer in fishing apparel. A warm, inviting lobby area will welcome visitors who will also be afforded views of the wader-making process. The new location is easily accessible by anglers heading to Yellowstone National Park, the Madison and the Gallatin Rivers. There will not be a retail component at the new site.

Montana Sen. Max Baucus lauded Simms’ expansion.
