From Pale Morning Media:

BOZEMAN, Mont. Gray’s Sporting Journal has awarded Simms Fishing Products a “Gray’s Best” for the ingenious Headwaters™ Waist Pack – an exceedingly functional gear pack designed specifically for fly anglers.

The pack will be featured along with other Gray’s Best winners in Gray’s 2012 Expeditions & Guides issue. James R. Babb, Gray’s editor for the fishing category, handed out the Gray’s Best awards.
As good as the Headwaters Waist Pack already is, it will be even better in 2012 with lighter weight design for improved comfort, volume and interior access. With 30 liters of storage, the Headwaters Pro Waist Pack ($99.95) will be available in both dark elkhorn and sand colors.

Last year, Simms won a pair of “Gray’s Best” that were featured in the 2011 Expeditions issue. Simms was awarded for its HardBite™ Star Cleats and the No Fly Zone™ line of sportswear. The Star Cleats are screw-in options for Simms’ complete line of StreamTread™ soled wading boots, while the No Fly Zone™ sportswear is a collection of insect-repelling shirts and pants.

The Gray’s award continues an unparalleled string of honors for Simms this year. Simms won three awards – including “Best in Show” at the International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD) held in August.

“It certainly is inspiring and rewarding to make products that are called out for awards by the media,” said Simms president K.C. Walsh. “I sincerely thank the team at Gray’s Sporting Journal for this recognition.”
