From SIMMS:
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana Sen. Jon Tester paid a visit last week to Simms Fishing Products, touring the only U. S. facility that manufacturers fishing waders.
Tester is co-chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, one of the largest and most effective caucuses in the U.S. Congress. With bipartisan leadership in both the House and the Senate, the Caucus is the sportsmen’s ally and is in Washington promoting and protecting the rights of anglers, hunters, and trappers.
“It was a honor to host Sen. Tester,” said K.C. Walsh, president of Simms. “He brings a unique perspective on conducting business in Montana and various issues facing anglers and fishing. We are tremendously proud of being the only wader manufacturer in the United States and welcome the opportunity to showcase our facility.
Tester said he was impressed with his tour of Simms, a 45,000-square foot campus with 101 employees. Simms continues to grow, and later in 2012 will move across town to a larger facility.
“Montana’s anglers and Simms share the same passion for the Treasure State’s great outdoors,” Tester said. “As Chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, it was an honor to see how Simms’ innovative products, especially the hand-crafted waders made in Bozeman, make a big difference for Montana sportsmen while getting a close look at a Montana small business and job-creator in action.”
