From Costa:
One of 13 new styles debuting in 2013, Costa’s new sunglasses, Cut, meld an on trend, retro look with Costa’s premium performance technology, such as no-slip nose pads, sturdy integral hinges and nearly indestructible co-injected molded nylon frames.
Cut is available in several of Costa’s new frame colors such as ocean (light blue), squall (black gray), honey tortoise and an ombre coconut fade.
It’s available in the patented 580™ lens technology. The lenses block yellow light – the harshest light – from entering the eye, allowing it to truly relax. The result is razor sharp color enhancement and unparalleled polarization.
Costa’s 580 lenses are offered in either hard-coated, optically-ground glass (580G) or super lightweight, impact-resistant polycarbonate (580P). Available lens colors include gray, copper, amber, and blue and green mirror. All Costa sunglasses are 100 percent polarized, eliminate glare and protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays.
Cut is also available with prescription (Rx) Costa sun lenses through an authorized optical retailer. Combining its 580 lens technology with proprietary lens designs and in-house digital lens processing, Costa is able to offer the sharpest, most clear Rx sunglasses on the market.
“This year, Costa is introducing a host of new sunglass shapes and colors for outdoors enthusiasts not willing to sacrifice premium polarization for style” said Chas MacDonald, president of Costa. “Cut has all of the performance attributes you’d expect, but with a flatter curve in its shape, giving it that retro feel.”
Cut starts in price at $129. To view more images of Cut, or to find an authorized Costa retail outlet, visit www.costadelmar.com.

For Costa, conservation is all about sustainable fishing. Many fisheries that should be vibrant and healthy are all but devoid of native fish because they have fallen victim to poor fishing practices, unregulated development, lack of watershed protection or all of the above. Costa works with partners around the world to help increase awareness and influence policy so that both the fish and fishermen of tomorrow will have healthy waters to enjoy. Costa encourages others to help in any way they can.
