More proof of fly-fishing life in January. The Fly Fishing Film Tour kicked off its 2015 run in Denver last Saturday night to a full house, and buzz is that the films were really, really good.
Most importantly, F3T works for great causes that make fishing better. In this case, the event raised around $5,500 for Defend the Upper Colorado. This came from two place–$3,500 from VIP Tickets sold through Trouts Fly Fishing in Denver (thank you, owner Tucker Ladd and staff); and $2,000 from the Greenbacks raffle (F3T provided a pair of Costa’s, a Ross Reel and a guided trip for two). The Greenbacks group (TU-affiliated offshoot of younger professionals) sold 100 custom TU-F3T Buffs. Nice job.
