You need no more proof that major fly-fishing brands are also being seen in the bass world these days than to notice Casey Ashley decked in gear from sponsors Costa and Simms en route to claiming the largest prize in bass fishing.
A hometown favorite, 31-yea-old Ashley won the GEICO Bassmaster Classic this past weekend at Lake Hartwell, near Greenville, South Carolina, by catching 50 pounds, one ounce worth of bass over three days. He needed that high tech gear, as conditions were extremely cold at the start of the event.
Now that Simms and Costa can lay claim to supporting the title winner of this NASCAR-like extravaganza, what’s next… NASCAR itself? How about you? You think this will help you and your business “cross over” any more?
