Fish Marketing, an award-winning, full-service agency based in Portland Oregon, announced that it has merged with Oregon City based BDC Advertising, adding several fishing, marine, and outdoor recreation accounts to its unique diversified portfolio. The combined agencies will operate out of Fish Marketing’s current location in Southeast Portland’s Olympic Mills Commerce Center, and become one of the few agencies in the outdoor and recreation industry that offer the collective experience of the two.

Alex Brauer, president of BDC Advertising, cited client growth as the primary motivation behind the merger. “As our clients grew and diversified, their needs did as well, particularly in the areas of video and digital media. BDC needed added capabilities; the challenge was finding the right partner. Fish Marketing proved to be the ideal match, for reasons beyond the coincidence of the agency’s name.” Brauer becomes an account director and lead creative on BDC accounts.
Fish adds that the support of BDC clients has been overwhelmingly positive, as the majority – including Yakima Bait, Maxima Fishing Line, Renaissance Marine Group, Gamakatsu and Steven’s Marine – have transitioned to Fish Marketing. They join current outdoor lifestyle clients HEVI-Shot, Snowbasin Resort, Mt. Hood Skibowl, Timberline Lodge, and Subaru Mountain Partnerships.
