One of the most popular, most successful, most effective, and frankly, most needed single fly competitions is the “One Bug” held on the Upper Delaware River in late April. The event grosses over $100,000 every year, and most of that money is spent on work that benefits one of the most prolific trout fisheries in the country. Another good portion of that money is plowed right into the community around Hancock, New York.
Our friends at the Friends of the Upper Delaware River reminded us that to get a team in the 2017 One Bug (the 10th Annual), your deposit needs to be received by November 15 ($1000/team). We’ve attached the team entry application with details. Be advised also that this year, the event will include for the first time a walk-wade division.
