Designed for convenience and performance for backcountry angling and travel, the array of features found on the Middle Fork Packable Waders are making them a new favorite for anglers in a wide-range of situations — from high mountain lakes to home waters.
These lightweight and packable waders benefit from a streamlined design, innovative, low-bulk seamless synthetic rubber booties, and light-but-durable H2No® Performance Standard fabric with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. This streamlined design and the innovative synthetic rubber booties allow the Middle Fork Waders to roll up into their own compact 8″ x 13″ stuff sack and weighs only 26 ounces.
Lightweight without compromising performance and durability, the upper body of the waders is built from 3-layer, 3.5-oz 100% recycled nylon, and the seat and legs are 4- layer, 4.5-oz 100% polyester (70% recycled). With heavy-duty scuff guards, newly developed seam tape, and single-seam construction that moves the seams away from high-wear areas, the Middle Fork Waders are designed to handle the elements.
Additionally, the strong and stretchy seamless bootie design adds durability by eliminating the most common points of failure or leakage.
The Middle Fork Waders eliminate excess material, making them lighter and more packable, and they have several notable features, including an interior TPU-welded waterproof pocket, adjustable suspenders and wading belt, and heavy-duty scuff guards at the ankle.
“In the process of building the lightest and most packable wader we’ve ever made, we also ended up creating our go-to favorite for everyday wear in all but the coldest or thorniest conditions,” notes Chris Gaggia, global marketing manager at Patagonia. “The lighter fabric moves with you like a pair of slacks and feels more comfortable in warmer temps, the booties make it really easy to pull this wader on and off, and the whole package dries out quickly.”
