Smartwool has introduced some socks specifically designed as a base layer to be worn under fishing waders. Smartwool’s new PhD Pro Wader Sock is designed for both men and women with the Indestructawool technology, a 4 Degree elite fit, and ventilation channels to keep your feet happy no longer how long you’re in the water. The bottom line is that they are supposed to help circulation, keep you warm and dry, and stay snug to prevent blisters. At nearly $35 for a pair of socks, they might be considered a little spendy, but we’ll be testing them out to see if they are really worth it. Stay tuned for an update.
