Kudos to Patagonia for bringing us a cool poster image that effectively captures what any one of us who earns a living from the waters that make fly fishing possible in the first place should be thinking with less than a month to go until the election.
“We Stand for the Waters We Stand In” is a result of a collaboration between The Young Jerks, a Brooklyn design house, and Patagonia Fly Fish. It is based on the Wendell Berry poem “Below” that includes “What I stand for, is what I stand on.” Featuring trout, bass and tarpon, the poster is more artifact than a political poster. It’s both printable and shareable on social media… an ideal complement to any fly shop counter or digital marketing message.
