Real, deep-dive, honest, gritty adventure fishing travel writing is almost becoming a lost artform in the Instagram-selfie era. But every now and then, there’s something that legitimately deserves a kick.
Having written a few adventure pieces in my day, I have to take my hat off to Stu Tripney, the New Zealand-based outfitter and fly tier (whose patterns I still use to great effect in the Rockies) A few years back, he gave us “Jungle Blues.” And he spent the lockdown months in New Zealand during COVID writing “Chasing Tigers,” which chronicles adventures in Nepal.
It’s a Kickstarter project and he needs some of us to bump in to bring it to fruition. I did.
Having seen glimpses, I can tell you it’s worth it… as will be his next one, based in India.
