Boulder, CO – Riversmith, a company built on the principles of engineering solutions for the avid fly fisherman – including their flagship product the “River Quiver” and the “Swiftcast” – announced the hiring of Rick Mikesell as Customer Experience and Dealer Sales Manager.
Mikesell is a Denver, CO native, and while growing up in trout country, he’s focused his fishing career on other under-the-radar warm water opportunities of Colorado and beyond. Prior to working at Riversmith, he was the Operations Manager of a Colorado based fly shop and outfitter. In addition to managing the fly fishing retail business, Mikesell is also a guide has taught warm water fly fishing schools and is a regular speaker on topics for fishing clubs and fly fishing events. He’s also a Board Member of Denver Trout Unlimited.
“I’m really excited about this new role and taking on the challenges of a business that is in a dynamic growth mode and introducing new and exciting products,” said Mikesell. “I’ve always enjoyed helping anglers maximize their time on the water and working with fly shops across the country is right in my wheelhouse. When I’m not working, I love exploring and fishing all Colorado has to offer with my beautiful Wife and 3 awesome kids!”
Mikesell began his new role in April 2023.
