Fly Fishers International Announces New Legacy Giving Program

From FFI:

Fly Fishers International is excited to announce the launch of the FFI Lee and Joan Wulff Legacy Circle, a program that allows donors to create their own fly fishing legacy through their estate plans. As the only organization fostering the legacy and future of fly fishing for all fish in all waters, there is no better vehicle than FFI for individuals wanting to have an impact on the sport they love. Estate gifts made through the FFI legacy giving program will support FFI’s education and conservation efforts.

The Legacy Circle was created in honor of Lee and Joan Wulff who have made significant contributions to both FFI and sport of fly fishing. By making a donation through FFI’s legacy giving program, donors can complement and honor the Wulff’s life-long impact on the future of fly fishing.

“Fly fishing is about so much more than catching a fish,” said FFI President and CEO Patrick Berry. “When people support fly fishing through the FFI Lee and Joan Wulff Legacy Circle, it provides opportunities for future generations of fly fishing enthusiasts to pursue their passion, write their own stories, and create their own experiences. This program provides a unique opportunity for people to give back to a part of their lives that has given so much to them.”

Berry continued, “Individuals interested in joining the program are invited to join at any level that works for them. Every donation makes a collective impact; every legacy commitment makes a difference.”

Some donors have already made significant pledges to the program. Larry Gibbs from Lake Tapps, WA, currently a member of FFI’s President’s Club donor program and an FFI Lifetime Member, shared his intention to join FFI’s Lee and Joan Wulff Legacy Circle stating, “It’s never too late to make a significant impact on what I value most. I’m leaving 95% of my estate to FFI to ensure the legacy of fly fishing.”

FFI is committed to honoring and thanking those who have already included FFI in their estate plans and encourages these individuals or couples to share their intention with FFI. Anyone who has already identified FFI as a legacy beneficiary, or is interested in participating in the program and learning more can find additional information by visiting https://www.flyfishersinternational.org/Donate/Legacy-Circle or contacting President and CEO Patrick Berry at [email protected] or (802) 989-1953.

Fly Fishers International has the distinctive mission to preserve the legacy of fly fishing for all fish in all waters. FFI was formed by some of the most influential luminaries in the world of fly fishing and conservation back in 1964, and is dedicated to innovative strategies to engage, teach, and inspire the global fly fishing community.
