RepYourWater is pleased to release their 2022 Sustainability Report. Prepared by Emerger Strategies, the report highlights goals, achievements, and the practices put in place by RepYourWater to further their sustainability efforts.
When RepYourWater started in 2011, co-founders Garrison and Corinne Doctor immediately established an ethic of giving back by donating a percentage of profits from their first hat design to Colorado Trout Unlimited. Since then, RepYourWater has been continuously active in conservation efforts and has donated more than $407,000 to conservation organizations.
The 2022 Sustainability Report breaks down into detail a number of goals and accomplishments, and among the highlights is RepYourWater’s Zero Waste operations status, which means they have diverted over 90% of their operation’s waste from the landfill through recycling, composting, and product donations. They have also maintained Climate Neutral Certification, volunteered 370 hours for their local chapter of Trout Unlimited, AFFTA and the AFFTA Fisheries Fund, and they have continued to donate a percentage of sales to their nonprofit conservation partners.
Additionally, RepYourWater is proud to be members of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association, the Fly Fishing Climate Alliance, and 1% for the Planet, and the company is also a Trout Unlimited Gold Level Business. RepYourWater also commits to having sustainability at the core of all their policies, practices, and processes, and they ensure 100% of their employees are paid a living wage.
“By asking ourselves hard questions about our business, we have made many improvements from a social and environmental perspective, but we are also aware that sustainability is not a destination and something we will always be working on,” state RepYourWater Garrison and Corinne Doctor, who are looking at new mid- to long-term sustainability goals through 2050. “We look forward to continuously improving the social and environmental impact of our company.”
