Flylords spearheads used gear drive to benefit Project Healing Waters and The Mayfly Project

If you have gear collecting dust, box it up, send it off, and put it to some real good use.
From Flylords:
Flylords Magazine is collaborating with Project Healing Waters and The Mayfly Project to deliver both organizations used fly fishing gear. This initiative streamlines access to essential equipment, promoting involvement in fly fishing by disabled veterans through Project Healing Waters to alleviate PTSD, and acts as a catalyst for mentoring children in foster care within The Mayfly Project.
If you have used fishing gear that you don’t use—even if you have gear you use a little, but don’t really need—please consider donating it to this gear drive. You can click  to set up shipping (cheaper than USPS, UPS, Fedex).

“As I was getting hit with the thousands of Black Friday ads all telling me to buy the latest and greatest, I couldn’t help but think about the amount of slightly used gear that continues to fill up in my closet. What can I say I am a sucker for buying new gear, especially when it’s fly fishing related,” explained Flylords founder and CEO Jared Zissu. “But I finally asked myself, could the gear collecting dust in my closet be given to someone who needs it more than me? Sure I could sell my older waders for 50 bucks on Facebook, but why not give it to someone where it could make a big difference. That’s where our non-profit supporters came in. Whether it’s underprivileged kids, or veterans who use fly fishing to heal their PTSD, I know for a fact that these are better places than my closet, and worth more than a few extra bucks in my pocket.”
