Action Angler was established in May of 2001, and is still the only streamside fly shop in the entire state of Texas. This fly shop is nestled right in the heart of the Texas Hill Country near New Braunfels, Texas, on the banks of the Guadalupe River. The Guadalupe River was voted as one of the top 100 trout streams by Trout Unlimited members, and is the southernmost trout stream in the U.S.
In addition to the Guadalupe River trout section, there are numerous warm water rivers and lakes are nearby that attract fly anglers throughout the year.
The town of New Braunfels is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, with a 57% growth in population between 2010 and 2020. Action Angler is a well recognized company in the fly fishing industry and the state of Texas and known for its professional customer service and extensive fly selection, with the most comprehensive inventory of trout fly patterns in Texas.
Over the 22 years of being in business, Action Angler has seen an increase in inventory and sales year after year. This full service fly shop has many top brands for outfitting fly anglers with specific attention paid to the needs for fly fishing the Texas Hill Country. It has been operated as a seasonal business October through May, and has plenty of room to grow in shop and online sales.
This sale includes 600 square feet of inventory, fixtures, state of the art website, active social media marketing, computer and supplies. This fly shop is dialed for success and can be moved or purchased with building and land. The building has an apartment on top and sits on 4.3 acres with river access plus an additional 3 bedroom home. The entire property uses septic and well water. The well is the deepest in the area.
