The Scott Fly Rod Company is pleased to announce the addition of new sales representatives to the team.

Adam Aikens represents Scott in the Midwest covering fly shops in AI, IL, KS, MN, MO, ND, NE, SD, and WI

Jim Bartschi, President of Scott said, “This is an exciting new chapter in building our sales team. I’m really looking forward to working with Justin, Bill, and Adam, and welcoming them to the Scott family. With our shared vision, values, and networks, this will be an easy transition for everyone.”

Outdoors East has had the privilege to work with many iconic brands over the years and are very excited to represent Scott Fly Rods.  “I have long been an admirer of Scott as a heritage brand, producing some of the finest fly rods in the industry, over the past 50 years.  I especially appreciate how they approach their business as a manufacturer partner with the specialty fly shop retailer.  We are super excited to be a part of the Scott sales team!”

Conventional fishing soon felt like a distant memory as Adam took advantage of the many opportunities to fly fish for trout and Great Lakes steelhead in Western Michigan. In May 2017, Adam was given a chance to manage a fly shop, lodge, and outfitter on the Pere Marquette River before moving back to Grand Forks, ND in July 2019.

He has been living the sales rep life since August 2019 and is grateful for a fun job that allows him to travel to the fishiest places and work with some of the fishiest people in the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes Regions. In his free time, Adam loves to travel with his wife, play hockey, volleyball, golf, guitar, collect old British reels, read in his self-built Irish-inspired basement pub, and fish for trout wherever they can be found, but has a soft spot for wild, native trout found in their native ranges. “It’s really exciting to add an iconic brand like Scott to the brands I represent. I’m glad to be part of the Scott team and an asset for the specialty shops I service.”
