From Yellow Dog:
Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, a Bozeman, Montana-based fly fishing travel company and one of the larger booking agents in the fishing industry, is pleased to announce that long-time employee, Tom Melvin, has recently been promoted to the position of company Director of Sales. In addition, Brenda Martinez, Chris Overman, Camille Egdorf and photographer Bryan Gregson have recently joined the Yellow Dog staff in various administrative, sales and social media roles.
“We’re thrilled with the growth that we’ve been experiencing this past year,” said Jim Klug, co-owner of Yellow Dog and the company’s Director of Operations. “As the company continues to grow and expand, we’re focused on hiring and attracting the very best people to take care of our clients on every level. As far as the Director of Sales position, Tom has been with us for a very long time and has worked his way up through the company to really earn this position as the key person to manage and oversee our sales team.” In addition to assuming the duties and responsibilities of managing and overseeing the broader Yellow Dog sales staff, Tom will continue to manage the Alaska and Kamchatka programs for the company.
Brenda Martinez comes to Yellow Dog from the Jackson, Wyoming area, and will handle office and administrative duties for Yellow Dog’s saltwater programs. Chris Overman started at Yellow Dog in the company’s intern program and was hired on a full-time basis this fall. Camille Egdorf is a long-time Alaska guide who literally grew up in the fly fishing industry, working with her family’s lodge, Western Alaska Sportfishing on Alaska’s Nushagak River. Camille will be hosting trips throughout the year for Yellow Dog and assisting with the company’s freshwater programs. Bryan Gregson – one of the industry’s most well-known and accomplished photographers – was recently hired to assist with Yellow Dog’s social media programs and marketing materials, and to assist on lodge visitations and exploratory trips.
“As the company continues to evolve and expand,” said Ian Davis of Yellow Dog, “we’re committed to hiring the best people possible. The fact that we’re based in Bozeman, Montana – where the fly fishing talent pool is deep – definitely makes this easier!”
“I couldn’t be more excited where Yellow Dog as a company has been going over the last few years,” commented Tom Melvin. “With our latest additions, the team continues to evolve, offering an even broader wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of destination angling. Yellow Dog continues our commitment to delivering the best possible fishing experiences throughout the world, and we have the personnel on board to do just that.”
