BioLite LLC, an innovator in off-grid energy solutions, has announced its bold entry into the lighting category with the new NanoGrid™, a compact, powerful system of rechargeable lighting and power storage.
“Light and power are at the center of our homes, giving us the ability to see, connect, and do,” said Jonathan Cedar, BioLite Co-founder and CEO. “Inspired by home energy access, we wanted to create an off-grid solution that empowers users to share their energy across devices. With the NanoGrid, you can create functional task lighting, illuminate multiple environments at once, or charge personal devices whenever you need it – it’s up to you.”
The foundation of the NanoGrid system is the PowerLight, the pocket-sized rechargeable power bank, lantern and torch. A compact energy hub, its 4400 mAh Li-Ion battery can be recharged from any USB source – including BioLite’s CampStove, BaseCamp and KettleCharge – and then used to share power with any USB-chargeable gear.
One of the PowerLight’s greatest innovations is in its custom edge-lit technology. The unique design of the lighting panels enables optimal compactness and provides 200 lumens of soft, even light in 360 degrees. The torch mode is equally impressive, with 250 lumens of focused lighting – perfect for nighttime way-finding or a power outage. The PowerLight’s ergonomic design makes it easy and intuitive to operate, while the S-hook™ allows users to hang it on closed loops and the friction hold gives directional light at any angle.
The PowerLight transforms into a networked lighting system when daisy chained with the SiteLight, the other component of the NanoGrid. Outdoor adventurers can create an instant sense of space and place with this dimmable string light product that provides warm and highly functional light. Using a clever cord system, the SiteLight have an impressive forty feet of lighting reach when four units are connected together. The lights pack easily into a protective buy xanax 2 mg online sphere that fits in the palm of your hand. Each SiteLight output 150 lumens of light.
BioLite is also proud to announce that the NanoGrid will be the first BioLite product commercially launched in both the outdoor recreational and emerging markets. Through their unique Parallel Innovation model, BioLite uses the near-term revenue generated by their outdoor audience and reinvests it into building scalable solutions for communities living in energy poverty.
