From: Drifter Fly Fishing
Colorado rod maker Drifter Fly Fishing announced a new financial commitment in support of Trout Unlimited. Effective immediately, Drifter will contribute 1% of all revenue to TU to aid in protecting, preserving, and restoring coldwater fisheries. Drifter’s commitment applies both to direct purchases by consumers, and product sold wholesale into retail channels. Additionally, Drifter has teamed up with TU to offer free one-year individual memberships to customers who purchase a new Drifter Fly Rod.
According to Michael Kopp, Drifter’s Business Manager: ‘Healthy watersheds are essential for the long-term viability of our industry, and enable the recreation opportunities that we all enjoy. We thought it important to make this commitment early in our company life cycle, so that our contributions are guaranteed to grow in stride with our organization. Trout Unlimited has an exemplary track record of success when it comes to preserving and improving trout habitat, and so we couldn’t be happier to lend our support.’
About Drifter: Based in Denver Colorado, Drifter’s mission is to build the ‘Best Trout Rods on the Planet’. We tune our moderate action blanks to optimize feel and response of the fly rod, designing performance characteristics around typical trout fishing scenarios. Drifter’s new production rod the Covert debuted in Spring 2015, and has received high marks of approval from customers and media.
