From Western Rise:
Western Rise’s 2016 line recently launched with three new all-mountain shirts for spring/summer—the men’s Buckhorn Snap Shirt and Eureka Shop Shirt and the women’s Tomboy Popover Shirt— keeping a keen focus on daily versatility.
“By utilizing performance fabrics in clean, classic profiles we set out to create pieces that could be worn in all mountain scenarios—from high country to town,” says Will Watters, Western Rise co-founder. “Garments that all of our friends, Kelly and I would be proud to live in.”
Spotlighting active mountain life, Western Rise has updated their water repellency technology, partnering with Nanotex to create a next-generation highly-breathable, water-resistance treatment for their new shirts.
This hydrophobic and oleophobic nano-treatment coats the fabric on a molecular level, enabling it to resist and repel water, sweat, dirt/mud, wrinkles, beer, microbes—you name it—but allows the fabric to retain its softness, breathe naturally and dry faster.
The Buckhorn Snap Shirt (MSRP $89) features a custom gingham weave, laser-cut underarm venting, a YKK zippered chest pocket, hidden nipper/key lanyard, dark pearl snaps and reflective details under the cuffs and collar, for that walk back to the truck after fishing the late-evening hatch or nighttime bike ride home from the in-town bar.
The Eureka Shop Shirt (MSRP $65) is constructed with 2-way stretch, white pearl snaps, a YKK zippered chest pocket, hidden nipper/key lanyard and reflect elements under the collar.
The Tomboy Popover (MSRP $65) is built with 2-way stretch, a hidden YKK zippered lower back seam pocket, sun protective shaped cuffs and reflective elements under the cuffs and collar.
Not your father’s (or mother’s) threads, Western Rise’s three new shirts are everything they think a Western shirt should be for mountain life today.
“Living in the mountains you understand the need for quality, thoughtfully-designed gear that fulfills all the activities we take part in,” says Kelly Watters, Western Rise co-founder. “For too long, active individuals have sacrificed space, time and money for apparel that only fulfills one purpose, so we set out to change that.”
New shorts, pants, fall-focused shirts and limited edition USA-made pieces are also in the works for the rest of 2016.
