Patagonia – Women’s River Salt Jacket
Patagonia really kicked it this year with the awards. We particularly liked a couple products: The Women’s River Salt Jacket ($349) and the Women’s Ultra Light Boot ($189). They’re good extensions of the Patagonia line for women anglers, which has long been strong, accounting for about 15 percent of the company’s fishing business.
On a side note, we asked where Patagonia stood on their initiative to fix past problems with waders, and we think the company may have indeed turned the corner there. We heard the data—returns are way down, and sales are way up. Exponentially up. And we haven’t had any problems with the waders we’re wearing this summer. So if that’s been an issue for you in the past, you might want to revisit that.
