The key ingredient to the all-new G4 Pro and G4Z Stockingfoot Waders is a new proprietary GORE-TEX® Pro Shell fabric. With 4-layers in the legs and seat for added durability and 3-layers in the upper for enhanced breathability, the new fabric package boasts the highest puncture, abrasion, and tear resistance ever from Simms. Both waders feature two innovations the fishing industry has never seen – a patented stockingfoot design and patented Sharkfin buckle. To offer an unmatched fit inside wading boots, Simms has incorporated all-new, patented, compression molded, anatomically correct left and right stockingfeet. The new stockingfoot design features raised panels on the forefoot as well as the ankle. When compressed, these panels greatly enhance fit which in turn, gives anglers significantly improved circulation for warmer feet in cold conditions. In addition, Simms has also included the patented Sharkfin Buckle a unique feature that provides a convenient spot for anglers to keep hemostats or mitten clamps out of the way, but close to hand.
Another new detail the product team brought to both new waders are super burly, low-profile, GORE-TEX belt loops to minimize line catch and increase overall durability. To offer comfort and support, both the new G4 Pro and G4Z Waders come equipped with adjustable, air-mesh suspenders and for an unhindered range of motion and durability, both waders are built with Simms’ patented front and back leg seams. On the G4 Pro, anglers can keep their hands warm with a zippered, reach-through, microfleece lined pocket and keep essential gear within easy reach with an oversized zippered, stretch-woven chest pocket, or the popular flip-out Tippet Tender. Anglers who prefer the waterproof center-front zipper design of the G4Z also have plenty of on body storage with two zippered, micro-fleece lined handwarmer pockets and two zippered stretch-woven chest pockets.
Long known to offer the best weather protection and tons of on-body storage, Simms has also completely revamped the G4 Pro Jacket. Constructed with extremely rugged 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro Shell fabric, the new G4 Pro Jacket offers the same amount of on-body storage delivered in a sleek and streamlined profile. Equipped with two large, fly box compatible, zippered chest pockets, a stash pocket on the sleeve, the jacket also features two zippered micro-fleece lined handwarmer pockets that give access to two rear game pockets. For even more storage and organization, anglers can take advantage of two stretch-woven, drop-in pockets as well as an interior, zippered stash pocket. For total foul-weather protection, the G4 Pro Jacket includes an oversized, 3-point adjustable storm hood with a high visibility accent as well as watertight shingle cuffs. Added features include a built-in sunglass chamois and a clever vertical flip-out fly patch that seamlessly tucks away when not in use.
For superior traction in challenging terrain and unrivaled friction in slippery rivers, Simms has released the burliest wading boot ever offered, the G4 Pro Boot. Built with an incredibly abrasion resistant synthetic textile mesh upper, the boot also features vacuum molded HF welded TPU film in high wear zones for added durability. For enhanced toe protection and support, the G4 Pro Boot features a three dimensionally molded rubber toe cap and heal clip. A fully neoprene lined closed cell foam interior prevents water absorption and adds next level comfort. Also aiding in comfort and stability is a dual density EVA midsole. Underfoot, the all-new G4 Pro Boot is powered by a Vibram® Idrogrip rubber outsole to provide excellent friction on rugged terrain and outstanding slip resistance on slick river bottoms. For added stability in slippery streams, the Vibram® outsoles incorporate 10 non-corrosive stainless-steel receptacles designed to lock in G4 Hardbite or G4 Alumibite Cleats, the greatest solution for cleat retention Simms has ever released. The G4 Pro Boot is also available with a 12mm studable felt outsole option.
