A leader in the fly-fishing industry, Daiichi® has been producing premiere fishing hooks for the past thirty years. Now, Daiichi® is reintroducing itself with a fresh, distinguished look. The updated brand identity was officially unveiled at the annual International Fly Tackle Dealer show on March 30th in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The new Daiichi® logo embodies the company’s mission to inspire adventure on the water with an updated color palette featuring golden hues and a bold capitalized font with a barbless hook. While the golden hues are a reminder of the sun’s brilliant reflection on the water, the bold, capitalized font and hook exude strength, resiliency, dignity, and respect; a representation of the distinguished Daiichi® legacy.
Through the establishment of the updated brand identity, Daiichi® seeks to bring awareness to the history of its product’s quality, while also pointing towards the company’s commitment to finding solutions through innovation and global manufacturing.
The implementation of this new look will be completed in phases with updated packaging included in the final phase of the roll out. Final phase completion is expected during the fourth quarter of 2022.
Dave Luzader, President and CEO of Ranger Outdoors, LLC, the Daiichi® parent company, stated, “Daiichi® is a timeless brand with a bright, new future. We believe this new brand identity reflects our passion for flyfishing and our determination to keep producing great products.”
Still the “World’s Sharpest Hooks,” Daiichi® products are designed to equip both professional and beginning anglers with the outstanding quality they deserve. Tempered with carbon-rich steel, Daiichi® offers superior penetration without compromising the hook’s structural integrity. Resistant and reliable, Daiichi® products are made to last for years of long days on the water.
Luzader concludes, “Our responsibility is to find the best hooks from around the globe that meet the Daiichi® standard. We are continually improving, but remain committed to our core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.”

Yea but Daiichi isn’t a hook manufacturer, they’re just a brand name who buy hooks and repackage. In my eyes they’ve gone downhill in quality in the past 5 years as well.
