Cox Enterprises announces the acquisition of Loop Tackle, a company committed to producing elite fly-fishing equipment and the conservation of wild fish populations. Since 2007, Cox has invested more than $2 billion in sustainable businesses and technologies, and this acquisition is part of Cox’s commitment to growing the company while continuing to contribute to positive environmental change.

Founded in Sweden in 1979 by Christer Sjöberg and Tony Karpestam, Loop Tackle is a company whose ethos revolves around a profound respect for fish, rivers and the wild spaces that inspire its products. By creating gear that allows fishers to connect more deeply with nature, Loop Tackle nurtures outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists by encouraging them to appreciate and protect these pristine environments.

“Loop’s brand is synonymous with conservation,” said Alex Taylor, chairman and CEO, Cox Enterprises.
“They’ve been the top name across the North Atlantic for many years in making the best technical gear
for fly-fishing and connecting with those sometimes cold, wet, wild habitats. We hope to build on that
ethos to foster a company that makes great gear and, in the process, leaves the world in a better place
for next generation.”

This acquisition leverages both companies’ combined expertise to drive innovative conservation
solutions. It will also better position Loop Tackle to expand its offerings of sustainable products to
customers and provide more impactful, purpose-driven environmental careers. Both companies are
confident this approach will help grow the business while protecting fish and wildlife areas.

Cox Enterprises is dedicated to building a better future. This commitment runs through every part of its
business, from investment strategies to philanthropic efforts, to meeting its 2024 zero waste goal and
continuing working toward its goals of being carbon and water neutral by 2034. Cox’s acquisition of Loop
Tackle provides an opportunity for the company to expand into a new area while continuing to live up to
its long-held values of giving back to its communities and the world.
