Independent Position Description

Position: Independent Sales Representative – St. Croix Fly – Northeast Territory (ME, VT, NH, NY, MA,
CT, RI, NJ, MD, DE, PA, VA, WV). There is an opportunity to split these states into two (2)
separate territories.

Position Summary:

An Independent Sales Representative will vigorously promote the St. Croix Fly brand in the Northeast Territory (ME, VT, NH, NY, MA, CT, RI, NJ, MD, DE, PA, VA, WV), develop and maintain strong relation-ships with prospects and customers, drive and generate sales, and increase St. Croix’s market share within the fly fishing industry. St. Croix Fly offers a highly competitive commission schedule and other financial incentives. The Independent Sales Representative position is commission-based only – no employer benefits are expressed or implied.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prospect and qualify new sales leads.
• Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects corresponding with St. Croix’s sales calen-dar.
• Create, plan, and deliver presentations on St. Croix Fly products.
• Track all sales activities in company CRM and B2B systems and keep current by updating ac-count information regularly.
• Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
• Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers.
• Meet and/or exceed sales quotas.
• Coordinate with other St. Croix Sales Team members and departments to optimize sell-through efforts.

Required Qualifications for Independent Sales Representative:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or relat-ed field
• 2-4 years of sales experience in fly fishing or outdoor industry
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
• Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of CRM systems
• Ability to travel within sales territory, to prospective trade shows, and to St. Croix/industry events
• Valid driver’s license
