Angling Trade Media

Angling Trade is the only independent media group in the world specifically dedicated to covering the business of fly fishing in North America, and has been for the past 16 years.  It’s a free subscription, supported by advertisements, and available to anyone associated with retailing, manufacturing, guiding, outfitting, travel, lodges or other sectors of the fly-fishing industry.  Angling E-News, is the twice-monthly electronic newsletter that covers breaking news in fly fishing, as well as product reviews, and it complements the more in-depth features found in the Spring and Fall Campaigns. We are proud to partner with other media, the industry trade organization, and the best writers and reporters in this business to create unique content with unequaled insight on the business of fly fishing.

Angling Trade also owns and runs flyfishingjobs.com, where people can locate the talent to help grow their businesses… or, get their name and work in front of those people who can help them land a job in the fly-fishing world.

Tim Romano, Managing Editor

Besides overseeing Angling Trade for the last decade, Tim is a frequent contributor to Field & Stream, and co-writes that magazine’s fly fishing blog, “fsflytalk.com.” He was formerly an editor with Fly Fishing Trade, and Wild on the Fly magazines and more recently helped launch the highly regarded publication The Fly Fish Journal as the photo editor for the first three years. His “other” job as a professional photographer Tim Romano has conspired to convince his wife and family that in order to produce more and better work he must essentially tackle his vices head-on in the field of play. This hard-earned license to roam has led to assignments in Alaska, Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Russia, Bahamas, Mexico, British Columbia, and extensively in the US. His artwork is part of the permanent collections at Lake Forest College, Photo Americas Portland, Instituto de Artes de Medellin, Colombia, and the University of Colorado, Boulder.  See more of Tim Romano’s photo work at timromano.com
