Simms Fishing Products, Costa Del Mar, and others are sponsoring a screening of Where The Yellowstone Goes, directed by Hunter Weeks, to take place at the Boulder Theater tonight, May 24. There will be live music from SHEL and Jacob Russo, a filmmaker question and answer session, as well as a number of prize giveaways.
Where The Yellowstone Goes follows a 30-day drift boat journey down the longest undammed river in the contiguous United States. Intimate portraits of locals in both booming cities and dusty, dwindling towns along the Yellowstone River, illustrate the history and controversies surrounding this enigmatic watershed leading to questions about its future. Connect with colorful characters, get lost in the hypnotic cast of a fly rod, and experience silhouetted moments of fireside stories on this heartfelt river adventure.
Tickets are still available at this time, but the film’s world premiere in Bozeman several days ago sold out. You can purchase your seats at Simms Specialty Retailer Front Range Anglers or online through the Boulder Theater.
If you miss the Colorado premier in Boulder you can still check out the film in Denver, June 12th at the Denver Film Center in conjunction with The Greenbacks. In fact two free tickets to this event are potentially available simply by commenting over at Compleat Thought.
