Angling Trade managing editor will assume a seat on the communications committee of the American Sportfishing Association this October. His term will run for two years. The committee guides the internal and external communications, industry-wide promotions, and media relations for the association, and is chaired by John Mazurkiewicz of Catalyst Marketing Services.
“I’m excited to take part in the committee, because it’s important that fly fishing has a voice and presence in the all-fishing context,” said Romano. “ASA has quite a bit of fly angling interests well-represented, and the organization has gone out of its way to make me feel welcome and part of the mix.”
Other members of the committee include: Chris Chaffin of the Professional Outdoor Media Association; Kelly Gohman of North American Fisherman; Liza Jones of Full Circle PR; Ken Cook of Fishing Tackle Retailer; Al Hussainy of Bloody Decks LLC; Liz Ogilvie of World Fishing Network, and George Scocca of Allcoast Media.
