Proceeds from unique, one-of-a-kind custom F3T-branded Bedell guitar and film tour “golden tickets” to benefit Rett Syndrome foundation “Casting 4 A Cure”
The Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) and world-renowned luthier Bedell Guitars have partnered to create a one-of-a-kind auction to support children’s foundation, Casting 4 A Cure. The package includes the F3T Stonefly Custom guitar featured in the 2013 film tour along with two lifetime passes to any future F3T screening.
Featured throughout the 2013 F3T, the guitar was played by award-winning musicians such as JJ Grey (JJ Grey & Mofro), and Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars); other notables to play it include Paul Puckett, Chase Heard and Joe Manzell.
The lifetime passes are, as F3T co-owner Doug Powell explains, “the real deal. Any show, any venue, forever. Between the guitar and the passes, we’ve put together what we think is a hell of a package. One we hope will generate some serious funds to support a cause that we hold close to our heart.”
The online auction runs through the first of May but has already received more than thirty bids. “Interest has been growing slowly but we’re seeing traffic really pick up these past few days”, said Casting 4 A Cure founder Bill Farnum. “Between the F3T, Bedell Guitars, and all the musicians who donated their time and effort, the experience has been serendipitous. I can’t thank everyone enough. The support has been huge, and I hope with some added exposure we can really raise some critical funds for our kids.”
The only guitar of its kind, it features a custom Mother of Pearl F3T Stonefly inlay and was built on the Bedell Guitars Performance Series platform. Constructed with handpicked tone woods, it features a classic dreadnought updated with a smooth cutaway and a beautiful spiked rosette. The result is unique aesthetic with impeccable craftsmanship and magnificent tone.
