From Utah Stream Access Coalition:
3…2…1…ACTION!
Over the Summer we hosted a photo contest that was a huge success. Have a look at the album to see all the great images submitted. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what’s a video worth?
That got us thinking…with the number of GoPro’s, digital SLR’s, phones, and other devices out there to take video, what would happen if we hosted a video contest?
We lined up some great prize packages from William Joseph, Montana Fly Company, and Kast Extreme Fishing Gear.
Between now and November 15 we’re looking for short, 3-minute videos that demonstrate the following contest themes:
Advocate involvement in USAC’s cause, i.e. promoting others to become a member of USAC, encouraging Utahan’s to contact their elected officials in support of USAC’s cause.
Educating and supporting USAC’s mission – To promote and assist in all aspects of securing and maintaining public access to, and use of, Utah’s public waters and streambeds.
Illustrate waters, heritage, etc. that have been lost by enactment of HB141 – The Public Waters Access Act, and the impact that it has had on you/your family/your life.
We want videos that get people excited about and active with this cause, videos that can be shown to our legislators to illustrate what we’ve lost, and videos that document what this fight means to YOU.
Full contest details can be found here.
We know there’s many creative minds behind the lens out there, so get your buddies together, go through the summer’s worth of footage, and spend some time in the editing room. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
