Boulder Boat Works Moves Manufacturing Space

After 12 years of building the world’s greatest drift boats in the city of Boulder, we have moved to Longmont, CO (10 miles and a world away from our last shop in Boulder). Manufacturing space has become increasingly hard to find within the bubble that is Boulder. Greedy realtors, a city hell bent on ridding its self of manufacturing jobs, and large expanses of “open space” closed to all use spelled the end of our time in Boulder. So, when the last building we were leasing sold and we were given 40 days to find a new space, it became obvious that the People’s Republic of Boulder would rather have gift shops selling overpriced imported paperweights and yoga mats than have businesses that actually manufacture something and offer real jobs.

We are thrilled with our new space in Longmont and to be able to more than triple our shop space while keeping our rent the same. That all adds up to more boats being produced for less money and a savings that will allow us to keep our boats more affordable for you, our valued customers.
