Our In-House Sales Team covers several key territories at a level of service that goes above and beyond a standard rep position. We are seeking a Territory Manager to join our team. The position is pivotal in driving sales and fostering dealer relationships for Umpqua. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a proven record of driving sales, and the desire to be on the road and in front of dealers most of the year.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Maintain Excellence: Uphold the Company’s industry-wide reputation for excellence in service while growing Umpqua’s relationships with its dealer base.
Travel: Travel extensively, up to 70% of the year.
Presentation Skills: Exhibit excellent presentation skills, including line showing and dealer training presentations.
Sales Skills: Ability to close sales, overcome barriers effectively, and efficiently manage and drive sales in both preseason cycles and in-season ASAP sales.
Growth: Grow company sales in the assigned territory effectively and profitably.
Industry Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of the fly-fishing industry, small business retail, and Umpqua’s product line.
Customer Contact: Maintain direct personal contact with all assigned accounts and respond in a timely manner.
Event Coordination: Organize, coordinate, and present at dealer events and shows.
Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present business reports for seasonal and yearly strategy meetings.
Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing team to assist in content creation.
Email Campaigns: Create and distribute regular email campaigns monthly/seasonally.
Dealer Support: Act as a resource of ideas to dealers on how to promote and sell Umpqua’s product lines.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Business Analysis: Ability to create and analyze business reports and opportunities.
Communication Skills: Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills both in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
Travel Management: Ability to create and organize a dynamic, efficient travel calendar.
Detail-Oriented: Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Time Management: Ability to meet multiple deadlines and effectively prioritize daily workload.
Autonomy: Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
Experience: 3+ years of sales and/or fly fishing/outdoor retail sales experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
